Dupixent: Hope for those with eczema

For those with eczema, dealing with flare-ups entails chronic discomfort and constant worry about the next time they have to endure itching and pain that comes from this condition.

In a clinical trial for teenagers with moderate to severe eczema, 24% saw clearer skin, while 37% of people had less itching within a 16-week period. In adults, clinical trials showed that almost half had a 75% improvement in their skin. Between 36% to 39% of people had clear or almost-clear skin at the end of a 16-week period.

While Dupixent does not entirely remove the risks of future flare-ups, it has helped those suffering from eczema to better manage their conditions by experiencing less itching and reduction of rashes for a better quality of life.
